SENSORS AND SATELLITES

WorldView-3

from Maxar

In addition to providing the highest resolution imagery commercially available, this WorldView sensor also captures 29 multispectral bands, far more than any other sensor on the market. The range in multispectral data makes WorldView-3 imagery a great option for all different types of uses, from vegetation analysis and bathymetric studies, to mineral identification and geological studies. The introduction of the 7.5m resolution SWIR (short-wave infrared) bands offers a more in depth analysis. These bands provide a better contrast between rocks and soil, can penetrate cloud cover, and identify moisture content of soil and vegetation.
