47 Rate this article: No rating [INTERNAL] Configuring an Application Entity in the DICOM Network Services Berangere Casson Sunday, August 10, 2008 This Help Article describes the different steps to configure an Application Entity in the DICOM Network services. The IDL DICOM Network Service is composed of 4 default Application Entities (see Help Article 4388 for more details) - RSI_AE_QUERY_SCU - RSI_AE_STORE_SCP - RSI_AE_STOR_SCU - RSI_AE_ECHO_SCU These default applications can not be deleted but their configuration can be modified (AEN, AET, hostname and port number can be changed). It is also possible to define a new AE: 1. Launch the DICOM Network Services (in local or system mode depending of what you need) 2. Select the Configuration tab 3. Define a new application a. Select the New button b. Choose the AEN and AET which will correspond to this new Application Entity c. Select the hostname of the machine you need to identify d. Select the port number which is going to be used for the communication between the nodes. e. Select the service list name and the corresponding service type to define the application entity. 4. Click on the Save button to save this new Application Entity Note: stop and restart the Store SCP Manager any time you modify the STORAGE SCP service in the SYSTEM mode.
