Dear Friends, I have tried many times with diffrent options available in spectral/spatial subset under basic tools to subset my image based on ROI or vector file. The problem is it cannot subset as per the area of interest (which is irregular shape) and only giving output image as rectangular shape. I have created vector file also but with the same result. Could you please advise me how to subset an image based on any roi/vector shape. I am using ENVI 4.5 Kind regards PK

Thanks Alex, It has worked. I could subset my image. I have one more question as below Could please advice me how to interpret PCA analysis eigen vectors. I mean is It the final Eigen vectors that we should interpret (each PC has band contribution information is in rows--am I correct) or we need to calculate factor loadings for each PC in each band as suggested by Jenson in Introducytory to Digital Image Analysis. He calculated factor loadings from Eigen Vectors. Here I am confused, doed our ENVI statistics of eigen vector is the final one or we need further computation. Please guide me. PK

How can I use the same ROI to subset multiple images of the same area? I am attempting to use the same ROI and ENVI keeps giving me an error message that  there is no ROI associated with the other images. Yet, the georeference is the same for all the images. The ROI created only works for one image where I defined it.

ROIs will only automatically show up on other images if their dimensions (samples and lines) are exactly the same.  To get them to show up on images where the dimensions are not the same but they cover the same geographical areas, you use the Reconcile ROIs via Map in the ROI Tool under Options.
