Hi guys, I am trying to load some data from the nano hyperspec (.bin) into ENVI. The image cube loads in, but the pixels are not displaying correctly. Does anyone know if this has to do with the raw format that the data is acquired in? The header file appears to be fine, and all the band information is being read. But, every single band appears are noise.

This often has to do with one of the header parameters such as interleave or data type. However, I have worked with some Headwall data bin files before and have seen this issue with the images looking like noise. The customer I was working with had figured out a different method for exporting the images which I could then open and read in ENVI as expected. So, if it is not related to interleave or data type, I believe it has to do with how the data are exported from this sensor. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with their software or options for export.

Thanks Mari, as always for your help. I can confirm I did try changing the interleave, and the data types but still the imagery won't display correctly. The raw imagery from headwall is infact 12-bit, which is perhaps why ENVI won't open it. The headwall software is full of glitches and issues for saving out files it seems. Restretching the raw 12-bit to 16-bit and then opening doesn't seem to work either. I will have to look closely at the software to see if there are other options for saving out files. Thanks Mari Alex
