Hi FC, It depends on what you would like to do. If you are thinking of trying the DEMO that comes with IDL, you just simply need to type "demo" in the IDL prompt. If you are thinking of trying IDL out, then you will need to create an account in Exelis VIS website and then you will have the chance of downloading IDL 8.2.2 and try it in "demo mode", this means that IDL will run for 7 minutes. To create an account you will need to go to: http://www.exelisvis.com/Home. And then click in "MY ACCOUNT" on the top right corner of the page. I hope this helped. Cheers, Fernando

Hi I have IDL installed on an old machine licensed for 3 users, now I need to transfer this IDL to another machine. Anyone knows where I should download IDL for that--everything on the old machine has been wiped but the license file has been saved. Thank you very much! -Zheng
