Hi I want to draw map use IDL 6.4 in Vista OS. But I find that the Chinese fonts can't be shown rightly , the output-log window has a hint that IDL can't detected the Fonts. If I copy the Chinese fonts from other Windows OS (2000\XP\2003) to Vista ,the Chinese fonts can be shown rightly. Is this a bug in IDL 6.4?

Dear He, I was checking the ITT VIS data base for a Tech Tip on 2-Byte Unicode Characters In IDL Graphics Windows, where the Chinese Fonts are part of. I found the following link that I think could be related with your problem: http://www.ittvis.com/ser...echtip.asp?ttid=3519 This Tech Tip explain how to display 2-byte Unicode characters on IDL "draw windows" and demonstrates approaches in both Direct and Object Graphics. I'm not sure if the behavior that you are experience is a bug, but could this Tech Tip be of any help?. Greetings, Fernando
