I installed a second evaluation licence for IDL and since then IDL, IDLDE, idldemo etc do not work from Linux the command line....I know the licence is correct as when IDL is executed within a shell script and read out to a txt file I can see the licence is an evaluation licence etc, and can see errors in my script......i now need to run each of the commands which are in the script to see where the error is, but IDL and IDLDE do not work - they just hang.....do I need to uninstall my version of idl64 and re-install it? Any help much appreciated

Laura, I see that our Technical Support Engineer, Fernando Santoro, is helping you with this problem outside of the newsgroup. I just post this note as a reminder to any Forum reader reading this that ALL licensing questions should be sent to 'support@ittvis.com'. This Forum is more for technical questions, where not just ITT Visual Information Solutions engineers, but also ITT VIS customers have an opportunity to provide help.
