Two questions: 1) Is there a size limit on EVF files? (since it uses a DBF, I think that may cause a 2GB limit???) 2) Are there functions availalbe to subset, crop, or split EVF files? [I'd like to convert a raster to vector - in ArcGIS I'm prevented due to a 2GB limit on shape files. For a couple reasons I think it would be more convenient to convert to vector and later split it up into a few chunks for ArcGIS rather than split the original raster and work with multiple vector files.] Thanks! -Eric

There does appear to be a 2GB limit to dbf files as defined by dbase III (I read somewhere). This would limit the size of the evf as well. That would be an awfully large vector file. There is a 'vector_subset' user function that is a fairly simple program (I wrote it so I know!). It might work for you. You should give it a try and let me know how it goes.
