I have two questions: 1) How to clip a vector file? How do I clip a specific area from a vector file? I have two vector files (.evf). I want to use one those (smaller) to clip the other one (bigger). How can I do this? Is it possible to do this using ROIs? I already converted the smaller vector file to a ROI but then I cannot use this ROI to clip the same area in the other bigger vector file. It seems thats this only works with raster images. 2) How to perform vector-to-raster convertion? Is there any function like RTV_DOIT but for vector to raster (something like VTR_DOIT would be very nice to have...)? I know it is possible to create an image from a vector file using ENVI but I need to provide the number of rows and columns in pixels. This is a very bas approach since I dont know the dimensions of the image but I only know the pixels size. Thanks in advance, Paulo Resende

    1) You might try this user function to subset your vectors.

    2) A raster created from a vector must have a known number of samples and lines since rasters are always number of samples x number of lines. If you know the min/max map coordinates and the pixel size, you could estimate the size of the raster by taking the difference in easting/northing and dividing by the pixel size.
