    Hello, I have a question about rs232 serial port. I'm using windows XP and IDL 7.0. I downloaded .dll and .dlm file from ITT web page and wanted to place those files in C:\rsi\idl56\bin\bin.x86. However, there is no idl56 folder. Where should I place those files alternatively? Thanks. Yun

    The code for this dlm was written a long time ago for IDL 5.6.  You are using IDL 7.0.  It may or may not work on the newer version but the equivalent path for IDL 7.0 would be C:\Program Files\ITT\IDL70\bin\bin.x86

    Thank you for quick reply. The old dll,dlm files seem not working in new IDL... Does anyone know new dll,dlm files?   Thanks Yun
