    i want to read image with projection inforamtion and locate pixel by the logtitude and lantidute. Genarelly, which command i need. i tried some command follwoing by the help. it doesn't work

    most of them are ENVI img and Erdas img. i found some sampling codes online, which was applied on Geotiff. But i don't think they were working well. Could you give me a generally introduce. such as which functions we need to read the project information. Thanks
