Were you sure to download the specific version of the JRE mentioned in the tech tip?

-first I intalled the file "jre-1_5_0_11-windows-amd64" which downloaded in the link: http://java.sun.com/produ...se/5.0_11/index.html with platform: Windows64 - second I installed the file: "jre-1_5_0_11-windows-i586-p" which downloaded in the link: http://java.sun.com/produ...se/5.0_11/index.html with platform: Windows - then I changed the file envihelp.ini as:                          -vm                          C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_11\bin                          -nosplash                          -application                          com.rsi.idldt.helpApplication                          -data                          @user.home/.idl/itt/envihelp-46 Did I have any mistake?

Do the 32-bit java executables reside in the directory you specified above?  The path must point to the directory which contains these.  I believe on windows 64, you have a 'Program Files' which is for the 64-bit applications and a 'Program Files (x86)' which contains the 32-bit applications.  You should also have a java directory in here which is the one that should be used.
