hi everybody,   i've got a problem with the reconciling of ROIs. I digitized some areas in an image with the dimensions 8056/9042 and saved the rois in a roi-file. later, i resized the image by 0.5, which means, the image dimension changed to 4027/4521. because i want to compare the values of the rois, i now want to restore the rois to the resized image. in ENVI help, i found the tool reconciling rois via map. ENVI asks me to selecat the source file where the rois were drawn (the large image) and then i have to select the destination file (the smaller image). when i do so, i get an envi error massage "Problem: No points from this region translated into the new reconciled ROI so no new ROI was created". what happend? is there an other way to restore the roi-file to the resized images? thanks in advance.....

Do both images have a map projection assigned to them?  It is necessary that both have a map projection.  The error indicates that it cannot find the same map locations on the destination image.

hi mminari, now after resizing, i copied the geo_points from the large image header file into the smaller image header file and adjust the image coordinates to the smaller. that mean, i change by hand the image coordinates and take the geographic coordinates from the larger image. then, both images have map informations. i don't know if this is a common way but it works. now, i reconcile the rois and yes...know i can see them, but they are shifted by several pixels. i think, this is the result of adding the map information to the destination file. is there a better way to define map info after resizing? bye

The image four corners is not really georeferencing.  The best way to transfer the ROIs it for the base image to first be georeferenced to a true map projection.  This means the map info icon shows a map projection such as UTM with a pixel size, and not a pseudo geographic projection from the image 4 corners.  Then if you resize it, the map info is carried to the new image correctly and the ROIs should be reconciled correctly.

ROI created from 0.6 meter image and I want to reconcile the ROI to 2.4 meter image. I already have the same projection UTM Area 50, but i still get the same error message. Please help me.

Are you using Reconcile ROI via Map? If both imges have a map projection assigned to them but they have different pixel size or image dimensions, you would need to use Reconcile ROI via Map rather than Reconcile ROIs. If you still get an error, I would suggest you contact Exelis VIS technical support directly.
