Hi everyone, I have written a code in IDL which interacts with ENVI. The code works fine on a Windows system but I need to run it on an Linux system. Is there a possibility on Linux to start ENVI+IDL together like in the Windows system with the "envi_idl.exe" file? Until now, with the Linux system, I can only start ENVI and IDL seperately which means that they can't interact together. I hope that someone can quickly answer to this question: Cheers, Nicolas

When you launch 'envi' at the command line in linux, you do get the command line interface of IDL (where it says ENVI>) and the ENVI toolbar.  If you need the IDL Workbench to also launch, then you need to launch it first, then at the IDL command line type 'envi' to restore the save files and ENVI menu.
