I have downloaded two .tiff from MRLC.  I want to do change detection in ENVI from the post classification menu. The change detection widget wants a ENVI classification image. How do I import a NLCD.tiff into a ENVI classsification image so I can run change detection statistics?   THANKS!

Hi ChrisT Importing the *.tif file into ENVI is rather straightforward. Once you have it open in ENVI you can 'change' it to a classification file but only after you apply some kind of classification function to it. The full selection of these functions will be found under the ENVI Classification menu. Since you have quite a few options available I would suggest reviewing the Help documentation to find the one that might best suit your needs.   Ciao

Thanks for your reply. The National Land Cover Data set is already a classified (Anderson Level I) tif. So I see what you are saying but how would I run something on it without actually changing it  to the results of the classificaiton? I just want to run the change statistics on the already classified tiffs. Is there a way to import a classified image? THANKS!
