My IDLDE output window goes white when I'm running an intensive program (big while loops). I can't see information on how the calculation is progressing. Is there anyway to prevent this? It basically stops writing to the screen until the program finishes running.

Thank you for your response. Basically, I want to see the progress of the calculation, not stop it or make adjustments. Breakpoints would cause it to pause on each loop. Would a periodic "wait" statement have the same effect?

Wait statement doesn't do it. Window still goes blank.
