Hi, I have some questions about these FLAASH parameters: 1) In "Advanced Settings" -> "For non-nadir Looking Instruments". I have SPOT5 images: need I to edit the angles or keep the defaults? also, which label in the .DIM file gives me the Zenith and Azimuth angle? 2) In "Multispectral Settings" -> Kaufman-Tanre Aerosol Retrieval. Which Upper & Lower Channel should I put for SPOT5 images? Thank you for your help. Regards

Please, I just want to know which tag of the .DIM file corresponds to "Zenith" and "Azimuth" angle. Thanks

Well, I don't know much about SPOT's DIMAP format, but I do have some files in that format. When I open my METADATA.DIM file in a text editor, and search for "Azimuth", I find these lines in that file: 150.885890 58.159497 It seems like that is what you are looking for. In the ENVI Help system for FLAASH, I looked up the description of the KT upper and lower channels, and it looks like the KT upper needs to be a band at 2100 to 2250 nm, and the KT lower needs to be a band at 640 to 680 nm. SPOT doesn't have any bands in the 2100 to 2250 nm range, so that means that you can't do an aerosol correction in FLAASH for SPOT data.

Oops, sorry, those were solar azimuth and elevation, and it looks like you need the sensor azimuth and zenith. I can't find the sensor azimuth and zenith angles from the metadata.dim file. It seems like this is a question that you might want to pose to your data provider. They should be the most familiar with the SPOT DIMAP format, and the info in the metadata.dim file.

Here is what I have garnered from various sites and sources and based upon what I have found in the DIMAP file: Zenith angle = 180 - VIEWING_ANGLE (see ENVI help file) It appears that the azimuth angle is calculated from the SCENE_ORIENTATION value, i.e. (https://www.doria.fi/bitstream/handle/10024/62221/enhanced.pdf?sequence=1): For left looking acquisitions: Azimuth angle = 270+SCENE_ORIENTATION For right looking acquisions: Azimuth angle = 90 + SCENE_ORIENTATION For additional information, please see the DIMAP dictionary (http://www.spotimage.fr/d...ry/pdf/SPOTView.pdf)
