Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if ther is a way to duplicate an ROI, but in a different location in the same TIFF image? I am trying to select 3 ROI's of equal area but it is impossible to do it manually, I can get close but not exact! I tried editing the pixel size in the ROI tool and it was a no go. I couldn't find anything in the help, so I'm hoping someone knows how to do such a thing. Thanks in advance!

It can be done easily ! first make one ROI that u want to copy. Save it in ascii from Basic tools> ROI >Output ROIs to ASCII. Open the ASCII file, there you would find ID, X, Y and B1, B2..... columns. Copy the ascii file and add offset in X and Y coulumn if you want to move 5 pixels in x direction and 5 pixels in y direction , your new values would be X+5 and Y+5 ( use excel for it) . Save it with ROI2 file and then import it from ROI tools>ROI_type > Input points from ASCII file. It might not be most effective way but it nicely does what u want. Hope it helps !

[/QUOTE] I tried this way to duplicate a ROI but the number of points saved in the Ascii file is huge! When I copy the file in Excel, ID, X, Y,B1, ... are saved in one cell for each row and if I want to add a new value to X and Y I will need to edit each row by separating ID, X, Y, B1, ... and it takes forever to do it! Can you help me with this? Thank you.

Hi Sukuchha, Any idea for Duplicating the ROI in a geo-referenced image? Many thanks.
