Hello- I am new to ENVI and IDL, and am having a hard time figuring out how to assign a projection to a .png file. The projection is in a .tfw format. Thanks- Eric

Open the PNG, and go to File ->Edit ENVI Header ->Edit Map Info. Fill out this dialog with the information from the .tfw, such as the pixel size, upper left coordinate of the file, etc. Unfortunately, I don't believe the tfw files actually tell you the projection type so hopefully you know this information.
