    Could someone let me know how to import GTOPO30 dem data. I did it a year or so ago but now the technique has been forgotten. I suspect there is an offset that is required but I just cannot seem to get things lined up. I know this should be simple but I am having a mental block. Thanks

    Ward: The GTOPO30 data is actually distributed in Arc Raster format, so you can open it directly into ENVI using the "File > Open External File > IP Software > ArcView Raster (.bil)" menu option. Within the file selection dialog choose the file with the *.DEM extension. - Adam
