    Hello, is there a way, does anyone know, to programatically (from w/in an IDL script) convert a GeoTIFF file to an ENVI file? I am not finding a routine to do so in the reference guide - unless I missed it (I am using ENVI 4.5). thank you!

    There is not a particular routine that converts an ENVI format file into GeoTIFF. But ENVI_OPEN_FILE can read in an ENVI file, and then ENVI_OUTPUT_TO_EXTERNAL_FORMAT, with the /TIFF keyword set, can write it to a GeoTIFF file. - Peg
