Hi everyone.
I am trying to import two ERS-2 (AMI/SAR/IMAGE MODE) images in ENVI. The images seem to open but there is problem with their georeference and their coregister.Any helpful in bullets on how to proceed to the first processing steps of such kind of images woud be really appreciated.

Hi Dimitris,
How are you opening the files and what is the problem with their georeferencing or coregistration? Any specifics you can provide could help. As well background information on the files would be useful as well such as file format, where you got them and so forth.

Thank you very much for your response. In order to open the images (ERS-2 (AMI/SAR/IMAGE MODE) I follow the path : Radar - Open/Prepare Radar File -ERS. Then i choose the DAT_01.001 file (the image consists of the above files: DAT_01.001, LEA_01.001,NUL_DAT.001, VDF_DAT.001, SAR_IM.........ps file). The image opens but there is no geroreference. Moreover it seems to be more like an already made intereferogram rather than an image (it seems to have fringes and nothing is detectable) . I must notice that the images have just been bought and no processing has been applied to them
Any help for both matters (georeference and the interpretation of the image) is more than welcome

I do not believe ENVI reads the georeferencing from ERS data. It sounds like your data may be in a fairly raw state, such as SLC. It would be good to know what product you have in order to know what processing must occur. ENVI does not have many tools for processing radar data into products other than sigma and beta nought. This is more commonly performed in the add-on module Sarscape, which can also be used to geocode the data.
