I am trying to calculate how many pixels are in each class after the classification is done but I don't want to do it for the entire raster. I want do it only for a section of it. When I ran stats and select Spatial Subset and select file it reads the white space as part of the raster (obviously) but I only want to have it calculated for the non rectangular shape that is in the file. The file was created in ArcMap. Basically it is a raster clipped to a shape. When I open it in ENVI it ends up having a white background and so I can't run the stats any more. Is there some solution to that? Thank you

You can create an ROI of each class and get statistics directly from the ROI Tool using the 'stats' button. To create an ROI of your class in the ROI tool, use Options ->Band Threshold to ROI and enter each class as the min/max.
