Hi, I'm trying to register a LISS-III image using a Landsat 5 TM already registered from Geocover dataset. I'm having a problem, the output image is all black, no data in. Since the spatial resolution from the LISS (23,5m) and the TM (30m) are different, this is what I'm doing: First: ENVI --> MAP --> Registration --> Select GCPs Image to Image : I select the points (GCPs) to register and then I save. ENVI --> MAP --> Registration --> Warp from GCPs image to map I select the GCPs that I saved, I change the pixel size to 24m, I change the projection to UTM/WGS84/Zone 25S and ok. I select the LISS image to be registered, and by the right side it is showed the metafile of the image, so I copy the dimension (samples, lines) of the LISS image and ok. I change the upper left corner coordinate (I don't know why didn't recognized automatically), the pixel size is already ok with 24m, and I change the output x and y size with the dimensions that I have copied before. Also, I could go to options and " MATCHING EXISTINT FILE" and select the LISS image and all these blanks would be filled. And then ok. The outoput image as I told you before is all black without any information. Could anybody help me? I tryed select others GCPs, and happened the same. Thank you, Aline

It is hard to say but I wonder why you exit the image to image registration and start the image to map. You can still perform a warp as image to map from the image to image registration. I would again go into the Select GCPs image to image tool. Set up the images as before. In the GCP selection dialog, restore your tie points. From the Image to Image registration dialog, select Warp File as Image to Map. Leave the default parameters. Do you get an output image?

Hi, Thanks for your response. I have done as you told me, but the output image is not georeferenced if I link the TM base image with the LISS3 output image . I mean, if I don't change nothing of the parameters, I get the registered image but with 30m of spatial resolution. The point is that I would like to stay with 24m, I to do that, I have to change the parameters. Aline

Have you tried selecting GCPs using the MAP --> Registration --> Select GCPs Image to Map. This method allows you to set up the desired output pixel size before you start selecting GCPs.
