Hi friends I am new in ENVI, trying to mosaic two Landsat images to derive NDWI. After calculating reflectance of different bands I need to match the histograms of two adjacent images taken in the same day, but when I want to save the image that has been matched with another one, the pixel values of new saved image get an integer between 0-255. Let me know please how I can save the image with the pixel values in the same range as before (like float or double format) instead of 0-255. It is very urgent. Please...

Have you tried the Color balancing in the mosaic tool? You could also apply your own gain/offset values from statistics you calculate from the images and apply them using band math. When you are "matching colors" in images, you will not retain the original values. Histogram matching is only looking at the screen values and to retain this on the image, you will have to save them from the display as byte. If you want to retain spectral integrity, then it is best not to histogram match or color balance.
