I just downloaded IDL version 6.2 onto a computer running Windows 7. The .pro files I had been using on my previous machine are being opened as read-only files. I have gone to preferences and the box for "Open Files Read Only" is not checked. Any new files that I write can to be saved and edited without any problem, even after I restart IDL. I am not sure what the problem is here. Any help is appreciated, Anthony
