Hello, Today I tried "ENVI Extension Wizard" by combining IDL8.3 and ENVI5.1 (new interface), and it worked out. However it seems that this feature is not supported in ENVI Classic 5.1. Is it? If I want to use button-wise interface to interact between IDL and ENVI Classic, the only choice is "ENVI Classic Routines->ENVI_DEFINE_MENU_BUTTON"? Have a nice day. Chia-Hsiang Yang

Yes this is true. ENVI and ENVI Classic handle user routines in different ways. With ENVI extensions, the tool will be added to the Extensions Toolbox and you do not need a button to expose it. With ENVI Classic, you have to create a button to expose the routine within the application.
