I was wondering whether anyone could help me with regards to a problem I'm having.
I wish to extract pixel values (all 8 bands) for known ROIs. I created ROIs from a vector (shapefile containing co-ordinates of known points).
Once all the ROIs are created - I was wondering whether it's possible to extract the pixel values for all bands via ASCII or .csv file?
When I right click on the ROI - I don't get an option to Save (it's not highlighted) and if I click Save As then my only option is to save as an .XML file?
It's a WorldView2 image (8 bands) and the software I am using is ENVI 5.1
Thank you

In ENVI 5.1 there is not a way to save the pixel values for each band under the ROI pixels to an ASCII file. But in ENVI 5.1, when you right click on the ROI layer, you have an option to export the ROI to CSV (comma separated value, which is a specific format of ASCII).
In ENVI Classic (any recent version), you can save ROIs to ASCII from the ROI Tool, by choosing File > ROI to ASCII.

Thank you for the reply.
However, when I create a ROI - the only option to save it as is a .xml file. How would I save it as a .csv?

Sorry, I meant to say that you can't do it in 5.1, but in 5.2 there is the option to export to CSV. But instead I said 5.1 both times. Very confusing!

In the ROI Tool dialog, you can select File->Export->Export To CSV... The reason this is an"Export" and not a "Save As" is because you can't then read this CSV text file back into ENVI.

That's strange, when I go to File - I have no option to Export?

You have no option to Export because you are using ENVI 5.1. In ENVI 5.2 there is an option to export.
