Can you launch ENVI or IDL through an icon on Linux? I can launch it through a terminal window but would like to have icons to launch the program.

While typically users launch ENVI/IDL on Linux using the command line, it looks like there is a method to create an icon for launching on Linux. It may depend on the desktop manager (e.g., Gnome, KDE,...) but you might try using the instructions found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.ph...
