I'm trying to work with these type of files. Since these files are without the extension of _slc, I'm not able to work with the SARscape tools. How can I fix it?

TerraSAR-X EEC data products do not need to have *_slc filename extensions in order to be used in SARscape. I'm not sure what kind of problem you might be running into here. You should be able to import these data by choosing SARscape > Import Data > SAR Spaceborne > TerraSAR-X. In the resulting dialog, you would choose the TSX1_SAR__EEC_*.xml file as the input file. Then you will need to choose the TerraSAR-X Data Type that corresponds to the specific EEC product that you have. For example, I just tried this with a dataset named TSX1_SAR__EEC_SE___HS_S_SRA_20070818T220141_20070818T220142.xml, which is a EEC - HS Single Polarizaiton data product. I hope this helps. I probably didn't explain myself right. I managed to do the import process of the TSX image, as you wrote for me. But, the other processes, that come after the image import process, such as coregistration and Intensity tools, do not allow me to use them because I don't have files that have the *_slc extension. Thank you Shiran

There are some tools in SARscape that are not appropriate unless you have SLC (single look complex) data. For example, interferometric processing will require that you start with SLC data products. Other tools will initially try to use a *_slc filter in the file selection dialog. But you can usually change that filter, by clicking on the field that says something like: *_pwr;*_gr;*_slc;*_fil (in the case of Geocoding and Radiometric Calibration), and choosing instead the option that shows: *.* Once you've changed the filter on the file selection dialog, you should be able to see and choose any dataset imported into and opened in SARscape. - Peg Exelis VIS

Hi Peg, It's still not working, I put any other data. Actually, I have tried all the data types and even tried to save the imported files as various types of extensions. Still, it isn't possible to work with the Intensity series and Coregistration tools. Thank you Shiran

I used the multilooking tool, and then I tried to use the co-registration tool. This is the message I got: ERROR ID : 110000 : DATA INCOMPATIBILITY [COREGISTRATION WINDOW GRID ANOMALY]

If I understand correctly, you are managing to import the data into SARscape without any error, right? But then problems occur when you try to use the imported data for multilooking and coregistration. Please correct me if this is wrong. The coregistration error you report may be related to specific characteristics of the data. Is the image of a heavily vegetated area? In that case, it can be difficult to coregister, because there can be little coherence between two images of the area. Or you may want to take a look at the information in this help article: "File inconsistency error during a coregistration step in SARscape" http://www.exelisvis.com/...tep-in-SARscape.aspx You are seeing a different error message, but I think the suggestions in that article may improve your chances of getting a successful coregistration. Do you get the same error message when trying multilooking? Or does that give a different error message? - Peg Exelis VIS

Hi Peg, you are correct, I'm trying to use the imported data for multilooking and coregistration, and the problem occur when I tried to use the coregistration tool with the imported data. As you mention, the image heavily vegetated area, and I'm sure the coherence is low between the two images. I tried to work by the instruction of the article, but it still doesn't work and give the same massage. I got error message only when I tried to do the coregistration. Thank you Shiran

It could be that it is not possible to coregister your data, if there is a lot of vegetation and coherence is low throughout the scene. If you have tried adjusting the coregistration parameters as suggested in the help article, and you still can't get it to work, then it seems like you may have a dataset that just can't be coregistered. If you are mainly interested in an area of the scene that has less vegetation, then you may find better results if you create a subset of the full input images that cover only that less vegetated area. Then when SARscape places the initial grid of coregistration points that it will try to match, more of them may fall in areas that have good coherence. Other than that, and the other suggestions in the help article, I'm afraid I don't have any ideas. Regards, Peg Exelis VIS
