Dear Exelis and forumers I have a question on handling my computer disc space. My temp folder (C:\Users\Seydou.Traore\AppData\Local\Temp) is full and I am running idl with low disc space. So, I am wonder if by deleting all files in the temp folder will not harm the envi+idl to work properly. Could you please advise me what to do.? Best Tra

Dear Tra: The folder that you described is not an IDL or ENVI folder, but rather a temporary folder created by the Windows Operating System. Many different Applications may use this folder to store files that are not deemed critical, for example temporary internet files. While deleting the files in this folder should not interfere with the core IDL or ENVI functionality, you may want to check that you do not have any important files stored here (for example, any .sav or .pro files you may have downloaded). Hi Tra, I just wanted to followup and mention that ENVI one of the applications that uses this temporary folder for non-critical files, so you should look for ENVI files that you might need as well as any files that any of your other applications might store here.
