Why did I receive an "Access Denied - Verification Pending" error message?

The "Access Denied - Verification Pending" error message usually occurs for one of two reasons:
1) An export control verification when you attempted to access our downloads or our licenses did not auto-complete. Exports and re-exports of Exelis Visual Information Solutions products are subject to US export controls. All transactions undergo a regulatory compliance check prior to export or transfer of its products. Some features of our website (such as downloads) may require an additional verification checks before becoming accessible in order to comply with export regulations.
Most often this verification process is automatic and you are immediately taken to the downloads page. However, if the auto-clear is not successful you may have to wait for verification. Typically, this verification process is cleared within a couple hours and you should receive an email notifying you that you have been cleared. Once cleared, you will have a 24 hour window to complete your download until a new verification process would need to take place.
2) You have recently created an account with Exelis and your account got hung up during the initial verification process. This can occur if we need more information to process your initial verification. If you recently created your account, please send us an email at support@exelisvis.com or support@harris.com and we will can assist you in getting your verification pushed through.

Dear all,
I do have the same problem. I am trying to download the IDL virtual machine running licensing free. However, under "Downloads" in my account page it appears "Access Denied - Verification Pending". Then, I tried to ask for technical support as I read in the FaQs but they asked me to insert the Licence Number which I do not have, obviously. So...how it works? Does "Harris Geospatial Solution" really give the opportunity for a licence free virtual machine? Or it is just a honey trap?

Your account should now be verified. You can download IDL 8.5 under My Account->Downloads.
If you submit a support incident from the web, you can leave the license empty if you do not have a license number.

Tayfun - it looks like you created two accounts, one with gmail. It is your account under your company email that has been verified.

Reza - I can see your account and it is verified and has cleared today. If you have been verified before and return to the website at a later date, a new verification will occur. Sometimes these can take a little time depending on how fast the network and service is working. Please try back at a later time to see if it has cleared. If not, feel free to contact us directly.

Rahma, your account appears to now be verified. Usually the process is automatic but sometimes it can take a couple days to clear if it requires a manual check and clearance. In this case, please feel free to contact support directly.

How do you find out if you are verified? It said it would take 24 hours and for me it has been 4 days. I have a license and a verification code in an email but I cannot find out if I am already verified. I am trying to download some stuff for a class I am in and it is getting crunch time. Thanks for any help.

You can contact support directly to request they look into the verification. Sometimes there is missing information in the contact record that prohibits the completion of the verification.
