Hello, I am trying to run a linear unmixing (aka spectral mixture analysis) process on several hundred landsat images. The endmembers are taken from the image itself. I wrote a code using an evf vector file that worked well. I am updating the code now that we have a newer version of IDL and can't figure out how to do this. Essentially, I want the mean values for all bands from regions designated on the image as derived from the shapefile or roi (as a polygon or point). I am not sure how to get statistics using a shapefile. This seems like an easy to do. Please help.

Hi Meghan, Have you tried using the TrainingClassificationStatistics task? In the example provided here
http://www.exelisvis.com/...nStatisticsTask.html
it appears mean is one of the properties returned. Good luck! Laura
