Control where ./idl is created?

When launching ENVI or IDL on Windows, the application saves user configuration data in the following location: C:\Users\Username\.idl Can this default location be changed?

The default location of the /.idl folder is in the user's home directory. However, this can be tweaked using the user environment variable "HOME". Set this equal to where ever you want /.idl to live. Once you relaunch the IDL workbench, the new folder will be generated in the location your HOME variable specifies.
