I have tried to install IDL on a ' IBM LINUX ON POWER ' computer. There seems nothing wrong during the installation. However when I try to start IDL, it says this : ;======================================================== biabia@LoPdev:~> idl /usr/local/bin/idl: line 513: /home/biabia/idl/idlori/linux.x86/idl_6.0/bin/bin.linux.x86/idl: cannot execute binary file /usr/local/bin/idl: line 513: /home/biabia/idl/idlori/linux.x86/idl_6.0/bin/bin.linux.x86/idl: Success biabia@LoPdev:~> uname -a Linux LoPdev 2.6.5-7.244-pseries64 #1 SMP Mon Dec 12 18:32:25 UTC 2005 ppc64 ppc64 ppc64 GNU/Linux ;======================================================== So, what is the problems , and how to solve it ? Any help will be appreciated.
