    Hi I'm trying to run the IDL 6.3 VM program I just installed and when I click on the icon nothing happens. any ideas? Cheers

    Probably you are experiencing the problem discussed (and solved) in ITTVIS Tech Tip #4095 ("IDL and ENVI icons do not launch on OSX PPC or Intel")
