I have an applikation with quite a few widgets in it, but I think it takes strangly long time to start up. The rendering of images, lists and tables during runing the program is not a problem. It just sometimes take very long time to get the buttons visible to get started. Are there anything I can do to my code to speed up the startup-rendering?

It's hard to say what may be happening without having an example code, but widget initialization can be very slow on MacOS. Not sure about your platform.
