What is the context for this error message or post?
What version of Mac OS and IDL are involved here?

IDL 8.7.2 and OSX catalina. The error happens when the app tries to start.
We are suspicious that the two users selected "No" instead of yes and OSX was asking for permission to do something. It was working fine, so I really think it must be a side effect of another action.
Have you guys run into this?

In case anyone is curious the solution was to grant full disk access to both the virtual machine app AND xquartz.

Glad you resolved the issue. We have not noticed this specific behavior or warning, but if you don't grant that full access we have noticed IDL graphics will freeze the session.
