 | We are seeking an entry-level inside sales representative, who will have responsibility for supporting the revenue goals of our Discovery & Development Team.  Duties include implementing effective sales call planning and strategy within assigned geographic territory and with direction from the Team Lead; identifying new leads through database mining, web seminars, pro-active lead research, telesales efforts and on-line sources; attaining assigned quarterly and annual sales quotas by identifying, qualifying, negotiating and closing new and current business revenue;  initiating a minimum of 20 outbound sales calls per day; ensuring that the pipeline for the month and quarter, customer contact information and forecasts for the quarter are always up to date; and assisting the training department in selling regional and on-site training classes.
 
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
 
    - An understanding of Remote Sensing, Esri GIS software, or imagery based data products. 
- Up to 12 months sales experience in software industry. 
- Has carried a defined quota in past position. 
- Participation in a Huthwaite SPIN Selling or related course desired. 
- Ability to collaborate with Team and Sales Management on strategic business plans to grow revenue. 
- Demonstrated ability to present corporate information to client base and set up a series of on-site sales calls. 
- Previous account management experience preferred. 
- Experience with contact management software. 
- Familiarity with Windows or Mac computer systems. 
- General knowledge of Exelis VIS software products. 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales; or equivalent experience.
