The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for working with a variety of cross-functional teams to design and execute global marketing campaigns in support of Exelis VIS products and services. This person is responsible for writing and editing business to business content for all types of communication outlets (emails, landing pages, brochures, etc.) to support the company’s corporate image, marketing position, and brand awareness. You must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while working towards and meeting deadlines. Additionally, you will need to work with and manage vendors to ensure projects and marketing efforts are moving forward and are on target. We are looking for a self-directed, results-oriented individual with solid leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Define goals, develop programs, and execute upon those goals and programs
- Translate product information into clear, concise, product messaging
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and its customers, partners, trade association, outside vendors and media audiences
- Develop marketing materials to support email communications, sales campaigns, productlaunches, case studies, testimonials, trade events, speaking opportunities and collateral
- Manage and implement our advertising and Pay Per Click (PPC) program
- Develop content for advertising, web site, e-marketing initiatives as needed
- Manage the department’s lead generation efforts
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of five years of marketingexperience
- Bachelors degree; preferably inCommunications, Marketing, English, or Business
- Experience developingcommercially-driven, content and lead generation programs
- Detail-oriented with proven project management skills
- Knowledge of basic design conceptsand web-based marketing
- Experience in software or othertechnical industry preferred
- Experience in Web-Marketing, SEOmarketing, eMarketing preferred
