Senior Account Manager for Enterprise Solutions, Gilching, Germany

Exelis VIS is the leading supplier of desktop and enterprise solutions for image and data access, exploitation and dissemination, in the commercial and defense geospatial information markets.  Our products and solutions have been providing answers to our users on their desktop environments for decades. With the successful launch of our enterprise and cloud- based solutions we are now looking to take our innovative and comprehensive SaaS-based solutions to another level to our existing as well as to new clients. 

As Senior Account Manager you will be working directly with the Sales Manager/Managing Director to develop the German and other markets. You will be leading an aggressive B2B sales strategy for our SaaS based solutions, making the most of every client opportunity. This role will be responsible for growing and expanding our enterprise business and exceeding individual sales targets. The Senior Account Manager will demonstrate a solid understanding of the industry drivers and trends that impact our customers to appropriately align customer business and buying decisions to our products and services.

  

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Develop, implement and execute strategic sales plans into Enterprise customers

·       Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with executives within target markets

·       Generate solution-based business in new markets and within large organizations

·       Identify customer needs, position appropriate solution(s) and acquire new customer relationships

·       Achieve and exceed sales goals through full sales cycle management from prospect creation, value proposition, negotiation and closure of the deal

·       Work with key technology and strategic partners to identify and develop new business opportunities

·       Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of current products and services offerings

·       Business development, tender bid and project management of large volume enterprise deals

·       Reliable forecasting and pipeline management with company CRM/Sales reporting system

·       Participate in community and industry-related events to further develop opportunities to procure new business

·       Up to 50% travel for tradeshows, conferences, customer locations for meetings, presentations, demoing, etc.

 

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in high tech environments and solution business with enterprise customer experience
  • 3+ years' experience within a B2B sales role in the Software, SaaS, Cloud or IT services arena
  • Experience in geospatial markets and selling consultative services is desirable
  • Successful track record with sales quota achievement
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Deal with customer objectives, questions and queries throughout sales processes; experience in complex sales processes would be advantageous
  • Present to customers to sell the product – Meetings /Presentations /Dynamic Training
  • Demonstrate products to customers and work with Technical Pre-Sales Consultants
  • Follow up with customers in an ‘Account Management’ style environment, ensuring satisfactory post-implementation support
  • First language German and fluency in English, with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics, Marketing, Geosciences or equivalent experience
