[Internal] New Licensing Rehost Process
This article provides information about our New Licensing Rehost Process;
Rehost request comes in (or any other expired maintenance related issue or indication such as missing Contract number/s from DLC), discuss options and qualifications for rehost (time frame, version, ect.).
Create and sent quote through normal process if options and qualifications are agreed to. Also be sure to inform of the time frame in which the rehost needs to be completed (before nightly batch unless "rehost" option is exercised based on circumstances)
When quote is paid and ok has been give from order processing, manually set the entitlement back to “Active” and push to FNO. Have user rehost ASAP! (The rehost needs to be completed within a few hours). Can use the "Rehost" check box in certain instances if the batch process needs to over look the contract. This is normally used if outside of a 24hr time frame (distributors, etc.) or for Runtime licensing that does not get quoted maintenance.
-Note down the current (or previous) host information to very the change after completion.
When rehost is complete and change/s have been verified, manually set the entitlement back to “Inactive” and push to FNO or wait for the nightly batch to auto change the status to prevent any further rehosting or changes.
