batch Output ROIs to ASCII 1270 0
Started by Deleted User
Are there any batch or doit routines that mimic the 'Output ROIs to ASCII' command that is on the ROI tool I can get the ROI data values with ENVI_GET_ROI_DATA but I also need the map coordinates that correspond to each ROI value.
Thanks,
Kyle Cavanaugh

Spectral Library from MASTER Spectral Response Files (SRF) 1478 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I am trying to build spectral library to be used in atmospheric correction software (FLAASH). What I am doing is:
1- Copying the wavelengths and spectral response values for each band (VNIR - SWIR) from the MASTER website and saving in seperate folders ( 25 folders total).
2- After this I click spectral -> spectral library -> spectral library builder -> ... Import. I select ASCII file.
3- In this way, I import all the files into spectral libray dialog and the change their name t...

neg values for pan-sharpened image 1336 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I have an image, corrected to QuickBird radiance values, that I pan-sharpened. Minimum values in bands 3 and 4, which were close to zero in the multi-spectral image, came up negative in the PC pan-sharpened image. Following up with band ratios produced truly wacky numbers. Has anybody run into this before Is there a way to constrain the lower values to just over 0
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to get the ratio of incoming and outgoing radiance for QuickBird imagery, not just...

Masks and Compute Difference 1335 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi. I'm running the Compute Difference method on an island scene. All I really want to do is derive two change classes from one scene in 1988 to another in 2007: vegetation to vegetation (little or no change beyond seasonal, which are minimal as the location is tropical) and vegetation to developed.
I've already georeferenced them and performed a dark object subtraction to minimize atmospheric effects. I would like to be able to eliminate the surrounding ocean water from the analysis but d...

Simple Post-Classification Analysis 1427 0

Hello. I produced two separate Maximum Likelihood classifications of the same scene 13 years apart (using the same classes). How can I produce a change detection map (and data) between them based on pixel-level classification differences
Thanks,

Apply Gain and Offset dialog... 1877 1
Started by Deleted User
Hello. In the Gain and Offset Values dialog box, it lists the bands of the image I've chosen sequentially titled 'Band 1, Band 2, Band 3.....'. However, it appears to me that these are not actually identified with the Landsat Bands 1,2,3... of the LS image I've chosen, but instead seem to refer to the bands as they are listed in the Available Bands window. In other words, it seems to me that the lists of band names in the Gain and Offset Values would be the same regardless of whether the band...

envi: MODIS hdf projection 2002 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi envi users,
I have MODIS NDVI files which are in its native sinusoidal projection and in .hdf format.
It seems like ENVI cannot read the projection information of these modis hdf files. It displays them but does not read its projection parameters.
I have been using erdas to convert the HDF files into IMG and then bring them into ENVI. Although this works, i want to find out if there is a way to get ENVI to read the modis hdf files projections. I know i can edit the header for each file, ...

3D Surface View, vectors won't print 1520 1

Hello,
I'm trying to print a 3D Surface View with a series of vectors overlain on a NAIP aerial photo. The vectors that are either dashed or dotted work fine. However, the solid vectors will not PRINT at all. They show up perfectly on my monitor and I can 'save the surface as' an image file and all the vectors are visible, however, I can't save the surface at a high enough resolution to then print that image instead of printing directly from the 3D Surface view (it appears that the resolutio...

creating layerstack in idl for images 1367 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi,
I created a layerstack of two images in IDL using the following code.
Let's say IMAGE A and IMAGE B have been chosen. both are of samples 2179 and lines 761.
CODE:
layerstack=fltarr(2179,761,2)
layerstack(2178,760,0)=A
layerstack&912178,760,1&93=B
envi_write_envi_file,layerstack,out_name='D:/filename.img'
I get the result subscript out of range subscript encountered: layerstack.
All i'm trying to do is to say the A is the first band of the layerstack and B is the second...
