ENVI batch - rotate 1596 1
Started by Deleted User
I would like to use ENVI batch to rotate my images.
When I use ENVI to rotate the images the rotation angle is already in the rotation parameters. How do I write an ENVI batch program that will also do this automatically so that I do not have to enter a different angle for each image
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Dear all,
I am trying to do spectral resampling from ASD field spectra to Hyperion data. I checked in ENVI spectral resampling module but I did not find Hyperion file in that. Could you please tell me is there any way to do this in ENVI Do you have any other suggestions
Thanks in advance,

Accuracy assessment - Confusion matrix - Selecting validation ROI's 1181 1
Started by Deleted User
Dear all,
&160;
I have performed a maximum likelihood classification on an ASTER image using ground truth ROI’s.
What I would like to do is validate the classified image, by using 95 of my ROI’s for the classification and 5 for the validation.
I have randomly selected 95 of my ROI’s (by generating a random sample of my ROI’s), but the problem is I need the other 5 for my validation. I made an image of the 95 ROI’s and tried to substract them to get the 5 , so that I can use that ...

Accessing Multiple Cores with the Orthorectification Module 1025 0

I have searched the forums but not found a solution to my problem.&160; I have a new processing machine with dual quad cores, but the Orthorectification module only accesses one core at a time.&160; It appeared to load balance on my dual core machine and the information on ENVI claims that the software makes use of multicore systems.&160; Does anyone have experience with this&160; Thanks in advance for your help!

PARASOL image georeference 1439 0
Started by Deleted User
G'day - has anyone used ENVI to georeference a PARASOL satellite image
I have downloaded an aerosol daily orbit image file in native PARASOL format. The Lille University PARASOL visualisation tool can convert this file to HDF (although not, I think, a fully standard HDF). I have not yet had success in georeferencing this file so that I can insert it to ArcGIS.
Has anyone managed to georeference a PARSOL file - in its native format or its HDF form

Maximum value composite expression 1652 1

sorry, stupid question...
How to write&160;a band math expression for a maximum value composite (from a 3-band image I have to locate the maximum values for all pixels and&160;form&160;new image from those pixels) I tried expressions such as: MAX(b1,b2,b3) for the respective bands, but it returns a syntax error.

Forest Health, Fire Fuel, Veg Stress Documentation 1267 0
Started by Deleted User
Hi All
Results from the Forest Health, Fire Fuel and Vegetation Stress functionalities of ENVI are not coming bad. But I am pressed for lack of documentation regarding their implementation in ENVI. Because while making presentation, I should not be vague!!
I request any details about their implementation, any papers. Specifically, I would like a flowchart or decision tree enumerating the steps used in bringing out the classification maps.
Thanks
Neeraj

How to Use a Spectral Library with Missing Data 1199 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi all,
I am a green hand for ENVI and IDL. My problem is that I am using s06av95a_envi.sli spectral library (a resampled library for AVIRIS sensor from splib06 file) to analyze my endmembers. But not all spectra in that library file have reflectance data in all bands from 0.4 to 2.5 micrometers. Instead, a lot of spectra just have values in a subset of that region and have a '*' in other bands. After I used SAM classification, all the materials with missing data would have a score of zero du...

Parameters in ANN method using ENVI4.5 1054 3
Started by Deleted User
Dear users,
I am conducting a research about image classification using ANN method included in ENVI 4.5.
The ENVI4.5 offers users a friendly interface to fill out the parameters involved in the construction of an ANN. These parameters consist of activation, training threshold, training rate, momentum, number of hidden layers and number of training iterations etc. Unfortunately,&160; there is no information about the number of neurons per hidden layer. Actually, the number of neurons is consid...

I am new to using ENVI. Am analyzing hyperion data using the spectral hourglass wizard and have some issues. Firstly, am getting an erroneous PPI image composed of white dots uniformy spaced in alternate rows. What can be the problem
Secondly, i don't know how to use the MTMF and SMA results for classification.
Lastly, in the last stage ENVI is not outputting the SAM results with an error message that says : Keyword VISIBLE_PTR not allowed in call to WIDGET_PMENU.
Thanks

Linear Spectral Unimixing 1268 3
Started by Deleted User
Hi there,
&160;
I&180;m trying to do a Linear Spectral Unimixing Analysis on a SPOT-5 image, which has 4 bands, for estimating impervious surfaces. After running the MNF rotation, only the three first bands are significant. According to the ENVI&180;s help, endmembers must be less than the number of bands. The problem is that, after analyzing the scatter plots, I&180;ve got up to 5 different endmembers, all of them necessary for the analysis.

Would the results be incorrect if I ru...

Continuum removal question. 1728 1
Started by Deleted User
Hi All,
I have a question regarding the continuum removal procedure implemented in ENVI. From the references (in particular CLARK et al. 1987 - "Automatic continuum analysis of reflectance spectra"), it sounds like continuum removal is performed by first detecting a set of local maxima within the spectrum, and then defining the continuum as a set of straight-line segments between local maxima. However, for spectra that are mostly concave (for instance, given a bowl-shaped spectrum wit...
