Hi, I am trying to perform a simple task: Clipping and export a point cloud (LAS format) from a forest area, by height.

My point cloud is between 81- and 91-meters height. I want to produce a point cloud of the same area, also in LAS format, but only with the points that populate the zone between 83.50- and 84-meters height.

What I am doing on ENVI Lidar 5.5:
Process data > Enabling "Produce Point Cloud" ( I choose the "file name" and also "product folder") > In “area definition tab” I have "entire area" selected > In “Production Parameters tab” I introduce my “clip maximum height” and “clip minimum height” wanted in “General box” > Click “Start Processing”.

On my predefined “Product Folder”, I can find the LAS File generated with the predefined “File Name” chosen.

The problem is that when I open this LAS generated, it has only been cropped by the “clip minimum height” defined (83.5), I mean, It worked well clipping every point under this height, but every points above 84 meters still remains.

Another thing is that if I open the ENVI Lidar project (.ini) which I used to process the data, It does have the point cloud cropped exactly like I want, but yet the LAS generated is just like I described before, whether opening it on ENVI Lider or any other software.

Would be it an error of my ENVI Lidar ?
    Could anyone help me ?
    Many thanks
