How large is the TIFF and is it an 8-bit TIFF?

I don't believe bigTIFF files are supported in ENVI Lidar but your TIFF appears to be under 4GB so that should not be a problem. It would be best if you came to technical support directly so the issue can be investigated further.

Certainly, It is a weird error. I clipped the file on ArcGIS 10.2 however, a popup window again reporting a problem with compression type (LZW) not supported. Thus, I resized the file with ENVI 5.0 SP3 and now the popup window is called: "TIFFReadDirectory Warning", with the message: D:\LiDAR\ENVI\image15b.tif: Invalid TIFF directory; tags are not sorted in ascending order. In spite of that, the image was loaded and now I can work. Thanks for all.
