After much expectations and promises from itt to fix idl crashes in 6.4 release, I do not see much change. There was a significant imporvement compared to the previous behavior, but still it is very hard to do anything useful as IDL crashes on SECOND plot operation, not the first one. The sometimes an error is reported like this: Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x1673c)! (of cource, the number changes) and sometimes no error is reported. Are there any expectations that something can (or will) be done about this or I have to seriously think about switching to other software? Thanks a lot for your input. LF
