May I request a step-by-step process on georeferencing multiple *HDF files of MODIS MOD21KM - calibrated radiance 1km.  I heard a script can be created but am not familiar with scripting either.  I appreciate if you could provide answer to my problem.  Thank you. - Cecilia

I would suggest you download the MODIS Toolkit from www.ittvis.com under User Community ->Code Library.  This toolkit has a User's Guilde which provides examples of how to perform batch processing of MODIS using its tools.

Hello mminari! Thanks a lot for your suggestion to solve my problem on batch processing of MODIS data particularly on batch georeferencing.  I have successfully downloaded the MODIS Toolkit and hope I could fully use it soonest.  Should I have more questions later, hope you are always there to answer.  Many Thanks.  Cecilia

Hello mminaril! I have already tried using the MODIS toolkit you've suggested.  The thing is it does the same with the basic tool of ENVI where it georeferenced one image at a time.  I need a means to georeference many MODIS images where what I just need to do is create an INPUT folder to put all raw data and specify the OUTPUT folder then when I run the script, all the MODIS raw data I have in the INPUT folder were georeferenced and saved at the specified OUTPUT folder.   I appreciate any help.  Thank you. Cecil

Hi Cecil, You are going to need to put the routine from the MODIS toolkit into your own IDL code that loops through your images and provides the necessary georeferencing information for each image.  The MODIS Toolkit routine doesn't automate that part, but it can do the georeferencing itself inside each loop.
