Hi, While studying about spectral matching approaches, I came across the SAM, SFF, Binary encoding in the Spectral Analyst tool of ENVI. What is the difference between Spectral Library Searching and Matching algorithms? What are the latest Spectral Matching approaches available in ENVI? Thanks in advance.

Do you have access to the ENVI Help? These algorithms and others are described in the help along with references. This is a good place to start. There are many spectral matching algorithms available in ENVI including SFF, SAM, MF, ACE, SID, CEM, OSP.
