Totally new to this product (installed today). Have loaded a sample set of LAS files, things look fine. Two quick questions: 1) Tried to show points, by classification. When ENVI-LiDAR displays the classification already in the LAS files (which appear to be very good to me), I get a gray-scale display. Is there any way to control the colorization of the existing point classifications in the source LAS files? 2) Ran the automated processing, and got ENVI-LiDAR to pick out some of the features from the point cloud (i.e., it does its own new classification). It did okay, but did miss quite a few buildings. I imagine I can tweak some parameters to do better; but, is there a way I can tell ENVI-LiDAR to use the existing classification, instead of generating a new one? The goal would be building footprints (vector shapefiles) from points already classified as buildings in the LAS files. Thanks, -Bruce

I am afraid that there is not a way to get ENVI LiDAR to use an existing classification that is already in the .LAS file. There is a current request for that to be added to a future version of ENVI LiDAR. I went ahead and added your name to that request, since you've shown your full name here. If that is added in a future release of ENVI LiDAR, I will notify you. I also wanted to let you know that, while we do keep an eye on the forum in Exelis VIS Tech Support, this forum is mainly intended for other users of the software to communicate with each other.
